Simply put, The Bridge Group is you and me. Everyday people who believe they have a responsibility and calling to use their God given talents and gifts to help their fellow man.
Recognized as a 501(c)3 in 2001, The Bridge Group was started by a group of people who desired to create an organization that would be able to build bridges between people of faith, city governments, and local businesses to work on "common cause" projects that would benefit communities. Since that time, The Bridge Group has worked to bring Hope and Healing to individuals and communities around the world.

Guiding Principles
Through partnership the goal of our mission projects is to empower the ongoing work of individuals and organizations that have long standing works within the community of service. It is our first priority to empower national workers by assisting them in their efforts to develop structures that will enhance the holistic well-being of their fellow countrymen. The Bridge Group does not discriminate on the basis of ethnicity, social economic disposition, politics, or religion.
Cultural Understanding and Humility
We seek to understand and appreciate the customs and social values of those we go to serve. We value all people groups and make no distinctions between race, ethnicity, social economic status, gender or religion. We go not as “experts” but as servant-learners.
Community Service
We define “community” in terms of those we are called to serve. With this in mind, our service area includes both southeast Michigan as well as underserved people groups internationally.
Global Responsibility
As global citizens, we have a responsibility to promote holistic well-being and improve the welfare and happiness of underserved people wherever they may be. In particular, our focus is to the medically underserved and impoverished. We desire to utilize all available resources to alleviate the suffering caused by illness and those factors that contribute to disease and distress.
Sustainability
The goal of our mission projects is that they will be sustainable. Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
Stewardship
Stewardship is an ethic that embodies the responsible planning and management of resources. We believe stewardship involves the grateful and responsible use of God's gifts in the light of God's purposes for each individual as they relate to benefiting their fellow man and advancing His kingdom.
Relationship
We believe that change happens best through healthy, positive, relationships both individually and in community. We believe that individual lives and communities are most impacted when people serve one another and work toward the common “good” of the other.
